A new juried exhibit, featuring two of my photographs, is opening next week at the MPLS Photo Center. I've had my work featured in a few shows at this amazing space (here and here) and I'm particularly excited about this one because one of my favorite contemporary photographers was the juror - Cig Harvey. I've been following Cig Harvey's work for a while (and even featured her here before) and I just love her style and the intimacy that her imagery evokes. It's a huge honor to have my work selected by someone who I consider a mentor from afar.
If you're in Minneapolis you should definitely check out the show or you can read more about it, including the juror statement, on the MPLS Photo Center site.
These are the two images that were selected:

I love the self-portrait. (It is a self portrait, yes?) The idea of showing part of you but not all of you and New York City in the background. Brilliant.
So glad you stopped by my blog today - now I can check out yours! Congrats on the exhibit, sounds like a great too - wish it was in NYC so I could go see it. love the black and white.
