Windows and Doors of London

Copyright Monica L. Shulman

I know there isn't anything new, or particularly exciting, about photos of windows and doors but they are just so pretty and unique in London that while I was there last month I honestly couldn't help but constantly point my lens at them.  Each street is lovelier than the one before it and some of the details made me feel like I was walking in a dream.  I especially love how residents take such great care and obvious pride in their flowers and small urban gardens - something I wish was more customary here in New York.

I have the same habit. Windows and doors are two of my very favorite things to photograph. Now, your photos are making me want to revisit my own from a 2008 London trip.

Love these! I never get tired of looking at the windows and doors in London or in other European cities (I love photographing unusual doors and door knockers!)
And the English do have a knack for creating the most beautiful gardens.

This is one of my absolute favorite blog posts! Yes, these are everyday things, but they are BEAUTIFUL. I love that you stopped to take pictures.
