Multiple Exposures at the Olympics

London Olympics Multiple
Exposures

Reuters is using 11 robots to shoot photos at crazy angles at the Olympics this year.  Developed by Fabrizio Bensch and Pawel Kopczynski, the robotic camera is armed with Canon’s newest body, the 1-DX, and allows photographers to operate the camera's movement from their computer with a joystick.  With this technology they are creating compositions that were never possible before.  The pictures are streamed into Reuter's remote editing system and sent to clients within minutes.  Also, I'm a little obsessed with gymnastics.  Very cool.

You can read all about the cameras and the techniques here and here.

On a side note, why are the stands so empty?
