It was very cloudy while we were having lunch at the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park. About 10 minutes after I took this photo, the clouds disappeared and there was a burst of sun.
We unexpectedly found ourselves running all around town this weekend. I didn't think that we'd be gone very long so I didn't bring my camera. Thankfully, Siri was there to hook me up. And to be honest, I've had so much fun with my iPhone lately that I wasn't even upset that I left my camera and lenses at home. Looking at the world through my iPhone screen rather than my camera lens forces me to use creative muscles that I didn't know I had. Plus with the Instagram app, they become something else entirely. I love when that happens.
I love the Staple Street alley in Tribeca.

Carbs Central but a Manhattan must.
The Flatiron. You know I have a thing for reflections.

What a surprise to see the Chrysler Building (and the moon) peeking between two buildings.
And speaking of which, has anyone made prints of their Instagram photos. Believe it or not, I haven't tried it yet and one of my goals before summer comes is to print some of my favorites (it would be insane to print all of them). I'm thinking of making some into magnets. Stickygram looks cool. $14.99 for a pack of 9 isn't that bad. Right?
Fifth Avenue and the tilt shift filter.
Major fog over the East River.

My girl who apparently is into bows now. She picked this one out herself. The days before it was all about "yellah" but on this day she wanted the "buuh" one. I mean...really?

Being stuck in traffic on the FDR has its advantages.

I am a creature of habit and start buying tulips every March. Can't wait until spring!

Rain makes for lovely, moody instagrams.

I really do not like going to Times Square but still, I can't help but feel energized by its craziness and intensity.
