Crescent Moons

Copyright Monica L. Shulman
When something catches her attention there is no looking away.

When Lucia was an infant I would spend hours of our day doing things like counting her eyelashes while she slept in my arms, memorizing all of her features including the way her eyes look like giant crescent moons when they are closed, kissing the little dimples on her hands.  I liked to point out all the ways that she is like her dad or like me.  Today my most favorite activity is watching her and learning all of the things that make her who she is - her own person.  I'm discovering so many beautiful and random quirks every day.  I am amazed by this spirited, curious, passionate and hilarious little girl who is teaching me more about life and myself than I ever thought possible.

She is such a beautiful child, I love when you post pics of her. And your words ring true. I don't have kids, but I imagine it must be amazing to watch them become "them".

Beautiful as always. :)
