We decided to drive over the Brooklyn Bridge to have lunch with our girl to kick-off our 7-year anniversary weekend. The traffic to get on the bridge, thanks to a lot of construction and general NYC gridlock, was a bit overwhelming but it made for some fun photo ops. Plus when I see these photos now they make me laugh because I think about our tone deaf efforts to entertain our baby who was becoming increasingly impatient while we were at a standstill. Old MacDonald, anyone?
The weekend was equal parts relaxing and busy - a perfect combination to get the week started right. Here's a glimpse into what we did via Instagram.
We love juice.
After our lunch we walked around the neighborhood and showed Lucia the building where her dad lived when we first met 10 years ago - what would later become our first home together. The door still squeaks.
This was one of my favorite doors in all the neighborhood.

Driving back to the city.
The baby was completely pooped and promptly passed out on the way home. We circled the island so she could sleep. It was the first time in ages that we just drove with no particular place to go. Watching Lucia sleep is my new favorite sport.
On Saturday we had a party in Midtown. More traffic.
