Zahra chilling out in Lucia's nursery.
Another week has flown by and here we are in New York enjoying what is the first of hopefully many, many beautiful fall days. It happened over night...literally! Yesterday it felt very hot and humid in the morning and then suddenly the skies opened up and when the rain stopped there was a chill in the air that reminded us it was September and summer was indeed over. I for one am very much looking forward to the new season. Autumn in New York is my absolute favorite time of year. I love the colors on the trees, the shorter days, the heartier meals and the way that cool wind feels on my face. Amazing.
I spent the majority of my week organizing and going through a lot of personal images from the end of the summer. So many. Speaking of summer, we're heading out to the beach this weekend...my second favorite place to be in the fall: East Hampton! I can't wait to look out at that beautiful ocean, sit for a picnic and watch the baby try to walk on the sand with her shoes on. She wasn't a huge fan of the sand on her bare feet. I cannot even think of sitting her in the sandbox at the playground to play let alone the beach! So we'll see how she does. Either way, it's going to be wonderful.
What about you? Any special plans?
Here are some great links from around the web to get your weekend started right...

Speaking of fashion week, this year the PR genius behind Oscar de la Renta orchestrated this #ODLR live tumblr site for a livestream of the show (which I watched and LOVED) as well as real-time sharing of photos and other media from the show. The whole thing was fabulous.
