We Heart the Swings

I love photographing the girls at the playground.  They love going there (Lucia starts laughing and kicking when she sees that we're getting closer to it) and we spend so much time hanging out there that I know they're going to have these memories etched in their minds forever.  Even so, I want to take as many photos of them as possible while we're there.  Many of the photos end up in the trash because they come out overexposed or out of focus but that's one of the reasons I love to shoot digital.  Just keep trying until you get some that work!

We love the swings around here.  The girls could stay on there forever and it's a lesson in life and sharing to go to the playground here in New York City.  You have to wait your turn no matter how much you whine and you have to let another kid have a chance to play no matter how much fun you're having.  They're learning...some of us are more patient (Zahra) than others (Lucia).  Paloma forgets she wants to be on the swing two minutes after we take her down because she runs to the sandbox/monkey bars/slide.  The three of them are so different.  And just when we think we have their personalities all figured out...they go and do something completely "out of character".  I love it.






A little fuzzy but so cute I couldn't resist keeping it.  So when a picture comes out a bit blurry I usually always make it a black and white because in my opinion the blur is less offensive if it's devoid of color (at least that's what I tell myself!)






Also fuzzy but I love it...I love her!
