Aaaaah...Friday. Isn't it wonderful? I always feel like the fourth of July is the first real weekend of summer. It's like a little preview of what's to come for the next two long months of hot weather, less clothes, lazy and long evenings, ice cream after dinner, fresh salads, margaritas, walking barefoot, going to the beach. Well, this is what you might be doing if you are here in the United States. I hope it's a wonderful weekend where ever you are too.
Here are some links from around the web to get your weekend started right...see you Tuesday!
And, by the way, the photo above was taken by my dear friend, photographer Audrey Michelle, at Lucia's birthday party last weekend. She has taken my photo several times before and I'm so thankful to know her not only because she has captured almost every major event in my life in the nearly two years since I've known her, but because she is just a tremendously kind person. She is moving back to Colorado later this month and while I am so happy and excited for her, I'm also selfishly sad because I will miss her SO much!
She captured this photo using a lensbaby..a toy that I think I NEED to add to my collection of lenses.
And speaking of lensbaby, check out these absolutely dreamy and magical photos of Venice taken by one of my personal favorite child photographers using one of those bad boys. I feel so inspired to go back there. Venice was the first place my husband and I visited together and that was ten years ago...wow. Hmmm...maybe our first extended post-baby trip is in the works.

How to make your very own glamorous floral crown. Perfect for summer, I'd say.
A great little round-up of compact cameras that could not have come at a better time since I've been thinking of getting a new one. I've had my eye on this Panasonic Lumix camera for a while and I kind of love that it comes in white too. Such a cool and easy departure from the usual black or silver.
And speaking of point and shoots, here's another great list of options chosen by 15 different photographers.
