Ignored Corners

If you spend enough time walking around New York City you will find them. Most people just pass right by them in a rush to get to where ever they are going so they end up ignored and hidden in the dark corners of this city. But magic light is every where -- especially where you least expect it to be. I pass by these overlooked spaces all the time, usually in a rush, but lately I stop and shoot.



Last night I dreamt that I was out on the street taking photos. I wasn't going anywhere in particular -- I was just walking around with my camera around my neck and I had that familiar feeling of calm and accomplishment. Things have been settling down (finally) and I've been out and about with my camera photographing everything and nothing in particular. I'm getting back to basics and it feels just right. Isn't that the best feeling when you can shift your focus from crazy to calm and everything just seems to fall into place the way it should be. I wasn't necessarily looking for the light here but I definitely found it.
