Black and White Fashion

I was backstage at Rad by Rad Hourani at Milk yesterday. Coolness. And then I somehow managed to sit on the media riser on a spot that was apparently reserved for Vogue. What? No one showed up to tell me that I was in their spot and I'm small (kind of) so I took it upon myself. I figured if you just look like you belong there people will leave you alone. The guy sitting next to me, who was really nice, asked me if I was with Vogue. I smiled and said "no" - but he thought I was! I looked official!

One thing I learned from fashion week is that you don't shoot with flash from the riser - the photographers get really pissed. But someone in the middle (not me!) was using their flash and it was really bright which caused some of the other photographers to yell and get annoyed over said flash at various points. It was entertaining and very dramatic but I just tuned it out and kept shooting. A fun story for me but likely not so fun for the photographers who had to adjust their settings in the middle of a show.

The energy of this show was awesome. The make-up, hair, clothes were all so organic and natural. It felt really positive and clean, timeless and classic - black and white was the ideal pairing in my view.
