New Trash City

I can't believe this is my neighborhood. I can't believe this is New York - period.

In Manhattan some garbage has not been collected by the sanitation department since Christmas Eve - you do the math. It is so disgusting. Just LOOK at it. I'm a photographer so I had to go out and take the photos because honestly, not even I believe it until I see it.

So apparently my beautiful downtown neighborhood, and countless other areas, is now a trash heap and graveyard for discarded Christmas trees.

By the way, as you likely saw during the New Years Eve ball drop in Times Square, there was no garbage (or snow post-blizzard) on the side walk and as you can likely imagine, there are no remnants of the thousands of tons of confetti that was released in celebration of 2011.

This is a disgrace.
