I have my health, my wonderful friends, my supportive and loving parents and sister. And I am especially grateful and feel so lucky for my new little family. The husband and I have been each others family for nine beautiful years and this June we welcomed our newest member and most special and remarkable gift. I am so in love and in awe of our sweet, funny, smart, curious, gorgeous girl. We waited for her for so long and I am just so thankful for her...for us three.
I've been blogginglately about Central Park in fall. It's just so gorgeous. The colors are so rich and inspiring. The scenery appears to be painted and it's not going to last much longer. If you find yourself in the city, be sure to visit it one last time before winter and snow take over.
Two separate photoshoots going on at once.
Lucia and I talking to another mom and her baby at the Boathouse.
"The Female Photographers of Etsy (fPOE) are a fiercely talented, fun, imaginative group of amazing women photographers. The art we create will be continually featured at this blog as source of recognition for our common themes, hopes, dreams, inspirations, and new directions.
fPOE is a group that began collaboration in early 2009. We started as a small group who reached out to one another as a form of support, ideas, and feedback and have steadily grown to include many talented women photographers from all over the world. Our blog is a team effort which is a labor of love for the many faces behind fPOE.
Our individual photographers have been featured in global and national magazines, newspapers, art galleries, and blogs. We juggle sisterhood, motherhood, being wives and daughters and friends. We've come together to share with one another, and with you, our lives' true passion- our photography.
All of our individual work can be found on Etsy. Please visit any of our online shops listed alphabetically on our home page. We welcome comments, favorites, fans and feedback on our blog, our Etsy shops, and our Facebook page! Thank you for supporting fPOE."
Friday is here again. I have no idea where the week has gone but I'm just happy to be going into the weekend with a clean plate and a clear head. Last night I packaged up a lot of work to send off to clients today, my office is (almost) clean and tidy again and in almost one week we are taking Lucia on her first plane ride and her first trip not only outside of New York, but outside of the U.S.A. To say that we are excited is a major understatement. But...first things first. I'm keeping my head in New York...for now.
Among the many things I had going on this week, I took the time to meet with the lovely and talented Jennine of The Coveted, Eat, Sleep, Denim and Independent Fashion Bloggers. Our little afternoon came at a perfect time - I was feeling stressed and tired and just needed some time to unwind, have adult conversation, talk about shoes and other fun things and have cupcakes!
Remember last week when I posted about my collaboration with her? We're at it again! Head over to The Coveted to see more photos of Jennine taken by me.
She's wearing this awesome fisherman sweater upside down! Talk about innovative. She is beyond. It looks amazing.
In love with these booties. They look like the perfect shoes for comfort and style and Jennine said she was contemplating getting them in white because they felt so good on her feet. I wasn't sure but then on second (and third, fourth and fifth) glance I say go for it!
Have a fabulous weekend!
And by the way, see what I wore during our shoot! Jennine surprised me and made my day when she asked to feature me on Eat, Sleep, Denim!
Sometimes everything just comes together. I get hired by a lovely, charming and photogenic family...The weather is perfection and,...It happens to be for a good cause other than just my portfolio and pocketbook. Last year I donated my time as part of an auction package to benefit the In The Pink Foundation.
The family called me to schedule it and well...like I said, everything just came together. I am in love with the photos and I had the best time with these parents and their beautiful and funny children! We did a lot of running and jumping too once I had some more relaxed portraits for them...more on all that later.
On a side note, how is it Thursday already?!
And on another note, check out my guest appearance on Eat, Sleep, Denim yesterday! How fun, no?
