Looking Down

I've been going through my archives and I found so many images that I had completely forgotten about. I don't know why I do this but I'm going to try to make it a point to at least look at my images soon after I take them so that months later I don't have this conversation with myself. I've been taking it easy, resting and getting ready for baby so I've had time to sit and just sift through old personal photos.

Here's one that I took a few months ago when I was going through the shadow and no heads phase. Well, I can't say it's really a phase because I'm always looking at scenes in this way and I kind of love it. This image was very New York to me. I took it downtown around noon time in the Wall Street area when I was there taking some commissioned photos for a client. I loved the lines of the crosswalk and the shadows and silhouettes of the people. I also loved the texture of the street and the stark contrasts.
