Holy Snow!

Well, yesterday was a major snow day here in New York City. Mayor Bloomberg canceled school - for only the third time in nine years! The airports were practically closed, people worked from home and many of us stayed home and were lazy instead of doing loads of work (ie. me). I toyed with the idea of actually leaving the four walls of my home office all day long. I decided to stay in, nice and warm and safe - I'm a bit of a clutz and at 5 months pregnant, I'm a hazard to myself so I didn't want to take the chance of slipping and falling.

My only real reason for wanting to leave was because I was itching to take some photos in the untouched loveliness that is fresh snow in NYC - it really does only last a day and then it turns to mud.

So, I did the next (sort of) best thing. I stuck my hand out the window with my trusty iPhone and with my camera.

I'm hoping I can grab some beautiful images today while I'm out running errands. In the meantime...I've got these.
