Thank you 2009!

On a personal level this was a very intense year. Looking back I wish that I could have had a glimpse of how the year would end because it would have made certain moments more tolerable. Do you ever wish you had a crystal ball? I honestly never did. This past year was the first time that I ever thought to myself...I just want to know what happens! I surprised myself with my patience this year. I learned so much about myself and about love and about the importance of family and good friends. And, now, after the somewhat crazy year that it was, I realize that I had to go through all of that to get to where I am now.

Professionally, this year was very intense but for different reasons! I never imagined that I could do so much in one year...again, I surprised myself!

The future frightens me for the basic reasons...fear of the unknown, fear of making a mistake...but I was raised to turn that fear into excitement. The idea of entering a new decade is so thrilling. I know that this will be the most marvelous and fascinating year of my life and I wish that and so much more for you, my lovely readers.

Thank you so much for your visits, comments and encouragement this year! I can't wait to see where we go in 2010.

Window Colors

Remember last week I blogged about my love of holiday windows and childhood memories? I posted these photographs of the Bergdorf Goodman windows in black and white but I promised the color versions so here they are.

I am still in love with the black and white versions but these are fabulous too...if I do say so myself. The reflections are part of the story...well, they're part of my story.

Holiday Hangover II

I feel like I am still recovering! I bet I will feel rested just in time for New Years Eve later this week.

Holiday Hangover

I feel hungover today. Okay, well not literally for me! But, I do feel like I need to detox from all the excitement, food and laziness of the past four days.
