Could You Be Loved?

When my niece Paloma was a newborn my sister, mother and I spent hours sitting on a couch in her nursery talking and listening to baby music. We would take turns holding her and then passing her on to my sister for a feeding every few hours. She was so tiny she would sleep on our chests and would only wake up when she was hungry. At some point we would realize that the day had turned to night and we were hungry ourselves.

Today, 17 months later we still hang out in that nursery but our afternoons are very different. Now that summer is over and we can't run around the park with her or go to the playground to play in the sandbox or on the swings, we hang out in her room and we spend time inventing games with her and watching her as she constantly amazes us. Love her so much.



She still rules the party and she's very good at it.
