New Beginnings.

Did you have a nice weekend? Has it not ended for you yet? I hope you're still enjoying it if you're in the U.S. and celebrating Labor Day...the official "end of summer" - isn't that so sad?

Why don't they call it the official "beginning of fall"? Isn't that so much lovlier and hopeful? Endings can be so sad and I'm feeling nostalgic for the wonderful summer that we had and not at all ready for it to be officially over. I love fall so I'm happy that it is now beginning.

You might have noticed that I haven't really been around lately..blogging or commenting. I haven't been keeping the same schedule for blogging but I'm hoping to get to it soon. My show is this week and my cousin is coming to visit from L.A. with her husband and son. Then next week, and I'm REALLY excited about this, the lovely Deanne from Dream Sequins has invited me to help her photograph some shows at New York Fashion Week. I. DIE.

I'm also going to be working on A LOT of photos in the coming weeks. We went to Buffalo this weekend to attend my cousin's wedding and I shot a bunch of photos. Plus, of course I have the over 600 images to process from our two-week vacation to East Hampton last month. sigh...Incidentally, this photo was taken by Lili, a friend and fellow photographer and very talented graphic designer and illustrator. We were at the beach watching the crazy waves created by Hurricane Bill and she definitely caught me in my element lost in my own world (as usual when I'm with my camera) getting attacked by a wave. I wish everyone could feel what I feel when I'm in that moment...

So...there is a lot that is coming up and I'm really overwhelmed by it all but also really thrilled. Definitely a beginning and not an end.

And, I'm celebrating this new beginning with a special bruch today with three of my favorite bloggers...Lisi, Sasha and Jenn.

Happy Labor Day!

Yeah, so you know that I'm obsessed with the Twilight saga (don't you?)...well, apparently the first song from New Moon was released last week. Death Cab for Cutie
did it. woot. This month at the VMAs on MTV there will be another eagerly anticipated trailer from New Moon. I'm so freaking excited. In the meantime, this is my favorite song from the Twilight soundtrack.
