I feel the summer blues coming on when I know that it's about to end...when the days start to get shorter and cooler and vacations are a long way away.
But, I'm not talking about those summer blues. I'm talking about the ones that inspire us and make memories...the blues of the ocean, the blues of the sky on a beautiful summer day. Those are my favorites blues.
We're leaving a for two week vacation in East Hampton tomorrow. I plan on swimming, napping, reading, eating lots of delicious food and drinking even more delicious wine. And, I plan on taking A LOT of photographs. I took these photos in East Hampton last winter and now instead of walking on the sand with my boots and winter coat and pashmina, I'll be barefoot. Isn't that the most wonderful sensation? Sand in your toes...I love it.
I will be blogging but not every day...I haven't really thought about when but I will definitely be checking in. I do have some work to do while I'm away for my show in September...details to follow for the opening on Thursday, September 10th! Hope you New Yorkers can make it...
But, for the most part, this vacation is about spending time with my husband and relaxing...a lot of both.
