I recently came across the work of David Doubilet, a Contributing Photographer for National Geographic Magazine. It sounds like he has a pretty incredible job. Aren't these images magical? I especially love his black and white work...it's so unusual and evocative.

Those are wonderful! Although I'm the first to admit that I get squeamish around underwater scenes. I could never watch Jacques Costeau specials... Hope you're enjoying the start to your week!
The last picture is stunning! Thanks for sharing these.
These are amazing...wowza...loved our time together yesterday! Especially that ridiculously comfy couch at Crate and Barrel...can we buy it together and trade it back and forth??

Great photos! I wish I would be brave enough to go diving to see all the things underneath.
Normally, I'm super grossed out by jelly fish. But I LOVE these photos! So gorgeous, thank you for sharing!
oooooooooh!!! i love the first image and the black and white beauties!!!
i used to want to work as a photographer for national geographic, or on saturday night live. sadly i don't have the talent for either, but that doesn't stop me from being a HUGE FAN of both (well, of SNL years ago, not quite so much now).
His pictures are amazing...love the colors and the way he captured the sea. Your photography is beautiful as well. You inspire me! I love taking photos, but I need to get a better camera. I'll have to check out your Etsy. :)
gosh this is beyond perfect
These are so beautiful. I've never really been underwater quite like that. I've always been amazed by that world though.
SO incredibly amazing and dreamlike. Thanks for sharing with us Chessa!
I know it's amazzzing...but I have the biggest fear of underwater...especially deep blue ocean...I figure it's my trauma after watching Jaws!
So gorgeous! The second one makes me think of a mermaid. Now I want to go watch Splash.
That last photo literally made my mouth fall open, how did he even do that?! I guess photoshop?
Love your blog!
Truly magical- they make me want to be on vacation at the beach even more than usual. How is that possible? -e
