Another wet and slightly depressing day in New York City. Generally I am an optimistic person...generally. And, I'm definitely always looking for something unique. I think ugly and even terribly hideous can be beautiful and even interesting. In fact, the art that I am mostly attracted to is art that bothers me. Something that moves me and bugs me in a way. In the simplest and most fundamental of terms...I'm looking for the pretty in the ugly.

the first picture with the water droplets is such a cool picture!
I love the moral of this post, finding the beautiful in the "ugly"... you certainly did it with these lovely photos!

P.S. Loved the story of your party dress :)
I love the water droplets :)
so gorgeous ....I tend to like sort of creepy or dark art as well ...it's much more interesting to me ...as a wilted rose has more feeling than a perfect one.
I love these shots!
I 100% feel the same way on the view of art. The darker less understood is the most beautiful to me.
We are also dealing with the rain and I think today it may finally clear. But I also feel at my most comforted and creative when it is raining outside, don't get me wrong I need my sun though too hahah
I SOOO hope to see you in NY. I would love to meet in person, we should also meet for drinks if you can. I will be there from the 11th -15th.
YAY!
Beautiful shots! I agree with you about finding beauty in the morose or the "ugly" things. They are unusual and unusual things are beautiful. Pretty is common. xD
Gorgeous...I tend to lean towards the dark side sometimes, so I know what you mean. I think ugly IS pretty.
You are just so talented.
Looking for the pretty in the ugly... I'd say you're a master at that, especially based on these!
great post because inspiration IS everywhere! thanks for sharing!
We've been getting so much rain here in NC lately. I love looking at the rain. It's beautiful. At the same time I'm ready for it to stop for awhile.
Nothing ugly about these, M:) That bottom one looks like it's sprinkled with bits of candy.
