Plus, they are hideous and they smell like dirty, old plastic.

I couldn't agree more. They are disgusting. I'd rather have a completely unknown bag than a fake. any day.
Gross...imposter designer handbags...smell rotten from a mile away....
On that note- remind me to tell you one day about my experience with my friends in the back of one of those crazy stores in Chinatown from college.....

i always thought you had to be pretty status conscience to need to have a big designer bag but where does the mind go to want a fake? clearly there's an incredible market for these which is so very weird. But you know, I'm a big proponent of creativity and originality in dressing...
I'm totally surprised that you saw so many fakes while in Italy...and, yes -- yuck!! There's something so desperate about it.
truly tragic and people just dont get that theyre the ones circulating the problem!
