Looking for Structure

I've been a little busy with my other day job this week and therefore have been really bad about posting. I work part-time in Queens with my family's real estate development, management and construction company. This is an adventure. We all drive each other slightly nuts because we have our loud, Latin, intense family dynamic in a professional environment but ironically, the craziness of our highly productive office, keeps me sane. As a "corporate dropout" I miss the structure of a day job - a schedule, a place to be and work, activity, deadlines, etc. So, working in real estate, with its flexible schedule, and in this economic environment, is a constant surprise, and at the very least gives me a place that I can go to, to work.

So, I've been busy with that and also, I've been a little lazy about writing here. I admit it. Whenever I'm feeling a little lazy about writing I post a favorite quote - so now you know. Before I started this blog, and of course since I've started it, I've thought a lot about what I want it to be - how often I will post, what I will write about. I'm still figuring it all out, and in effort to build more structure, I've decided that I'm going to write five days a week. I'd like to make it a goal to write every day, but, I'm going to begin with five days a week and then see what happens. For now I'm off - today is a best girl's day - mani/pedi, Bloomingdale's and massage at the SoHo Sanctuary. woot!

Happy weekend!

And, here's a quote for good measure...

A photograph is neither taken nor seized by force. It offers itself up. It is the photo that takes you. One must not take photos.
